Berlin is multicultural. In 2018, more than 700,000 foreigners from 193 countries called Berlin home! For example did you know that Berlin’s Neukölln district, where I live, is also called "Little Istanbul?" Welcome to the most colorful city in Germany!
I'd be happy to show you some of the highlights of Berlin, the places you have to see, if you want to be in the know. But before we start, I'd like to introduce you to someone else. I won't be accompanying you on the tour alone.
That's right, I'm also coming with you. Hey, I'm glad you decided to take this tour with YourMobileGuide! My name is Annalena. I wasn't born in Berlin, but I've been living here for a few years now. There are a few favorite places that I have in Berlin. And Mert and I are going to show them to you.
Believe me, there is so much to see. That's why the tour is organized in a way that it can be spread out over two, or even three days. This way you have more time and can also take breaks or hang out longer at stations that you think are especially interesting. How long you stay at a site and whether you really visit all the stations is your decision. However, I recommend that even if you skip stations, you visit the ones you do want to see in order on the tour.
On this tour we will walk to some of our locations and also jump on and off public transportation. That's no problem in the center of Berlin. This way you really get a feel for the special atmosphere of our colorful capital city.
Here are a few tips for you:
It's best to buy a day ticket that allows you to use buses and trains as you wish. Important information on routes and prices can be found on the Berlin Transport Services website at www.bvg.de .
We'll also show you where you can take a boat trip on the Spree river. Please also check the departure times on the internet at www.spreefahrten-berlin.de if you are interested. This will help you plan your tour.
If you want to visit the Berlin TV Tower, please check www.tv-turm.de for the current opening hours and reservation times.
You should also check the opening hours of the dome of the Parliament building on the website www.bundestag.de in advance.
But now, come on, it's time to discover Berlin. Annalena and I will be waiting for you at the first station.
The audio app guides you through twenty stations of Best of Berlin for Teenagers Tour and its highlights, and between the stations you get tips that only locals know.
We also have discounted tickets and fast track lane passes available for many of the sites we have included for you. For these reduced prices, please check at the end of the text in your app as there will be a link included if available. Also, remember to check ahead of time on the attraction’s website for guided English tours if you desire to join one. Please enjoy our tour and your experience in the historic Prague!
